Who's Cole Crow? Nobody special, a secondary character at best... but that's kind of the point. From a young age, we're fed the alpha hero fairy tale: The big, handsome protagonist goes out into the world, battles evil and takes what he wants... The traditional macho narrative bored me. Which is why I write about ordinary men in near-ordinary worlds. Stories where the underdog not only gets the girl, he gets a bunch of them. We deserve another version of the happily ever after, so I've made it my mission to give us (myself included), exactly that. Hopefully, you'll stick around for the ride.
